Carol Vorderman Credits Botox and an Active Sex Life for Youthful Appearance
The 65-year-old television presenter revealed her secrets to maintaining a youthful look, including cosmetic procedures and an unconventional approach to relationships.
Carol Vorderman, 65, has surprised fans with her consistently youthful appearance over a career spanning more than four decades. The television presenter recently debuted a glamorous makeover, featuring a darker hairdo, enhanced teeth, and a form-fitting glitter gown that accentuated her figure, leading many to comment that she appears to be "ageing in reverse."
Cosmetic Procedures and Self-Acceptance
Vorderman has been open about her use of cosmetic treatments, including Botox and fillers, to maintain her ageless look. She has expressed intentions to undergo a facelift in the future, stating that she believes in spending her money on what makes her happy. "I look the way I do because it makes me happy," she said, defending her choices against criticism. She added that in her sixties, she feels she is "the person I always should have been," embracing her age with a "no f***s given" attitude towards public scrutiny. Vorderman also noted that while she has never had a breast augmentation, her cup size increased during menopause.
Diet, Fitness, and Well-being
The presenter has also focused on her physical health, embarking on a body transformation in 2022 that included a stay at a juice retreat. During this period, she consumed only juices for 15 out of 18 days, resulting in a noticeable drop in dress size and an increase in energy. Vorderman also works with a personal trainer to incorporate strength training into her routine, performing exercises like press-ups, hip thrusts, and resistance band work. To support her fitness regimen, she practices intermittent fasting and incorporates yoga for flexibility and core strength, citing its benefits for increasing muscle strength, tone, respiration, energy, and vitality.
Unconventional Relationships
Vorderman has also attributed her energy and confidence to an active sex life and an unconventional approach to dating. She is openly single and maintains casual relationships with multiple "special friends" rather than a traditional single partner. She has joked about her current situation, stating she is "down to three special friends," and described these relationships as long-term. Vorderman has been single since her split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007, after two previous marriages. She has expressed no desire to settle down, emphasizing that women do not need a man to travel or enjoy life, advocating for female independence.
