Country music singer Carly Pearce has revealed that she once performed a concert while intoxicated, admitting she “over-served” herself. While she has never canceled a show, Pearce stated in a recent interview that there was one performance she “should have” canceled. She recalled the incident during a game of Entertainment Tonight’s “Sip or Spill,” saying, “If you were at my show on the 29 Tour a few years ago in D.C., I over-served myself, and I was like, ‘Uh oh, this is not good.’ But I made it.”

Although Pearce did not specify the exact date, she performed a concert at The Hamilton in Washington, D.C., on November 20, 2021, as part of her 29 Tour.

Pearce, who recently released her fifth studio album, “Honest Woman,” on August 28, also shared details of a particularly unpleasant date. She described going out with someone who became “blackout drunk” to the point where Pearce had to drive him home. Upon arriving, the man reportedly faked a phone call when it was time for a kiss, a gesture Pearce could see through by noticing his phone screen was active and not in a call.

“Just tell me you don’t want to kiss me. I don’t want to kiss you either,” Pearce told ET about the experience.

In addition to her performance and dating anecdotes, Pearce also expressed regret over releasing the song “Finish Your Sentences” with her ex-husband Michael Ray. The track, from her 2020 album, “didn’t age well,” she quipped, noting their divorce occurred in the same year after an eight-month marriage.

Pearce is set to begin a new tour on September 10, performing in smaller venues with the intention of fostering a deeper connection with her fans. She stated that her connection with fans has become increasingly significant and that the upcoming shows will provide an opportunity for more intimate interaction.
