Carli Lloyd Welcomes Second Child, Son Hunter Jax

Former USWNT star Carli Lloyd gave birth to her second baby, a son named Hunter Jax, with her husband Brian Hollins on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The newborn joins their 2-year-old daughter, Harper Anne.

Lloyd shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of the baby boy in a hospital bassinet. Hunter Jax weighed 9 lbs., 3 oz., and measured 20.5 inches long.

"Our hearts have never been fuller," Lloyd, 44, wrote in her post. "Welcome to the world, our sweet baby boy. 💙" She also expressed gratitude to her medical team for their care throughout her pregnancy and delivery.

"It wasn’t the easiest delivery, which makes us even more grateful for the best team of Doctors, nurses, and everyone else who took such amazing care of us throughout this pregnancy," she stated. "Now we’re home, soaking in all the newborn snuggles and adjusting to life as a family of four — especially with our 2-year-old learning her new role as big sister."

Lloyd, a two-time World Cup winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist, announced her second pregnancy in April 2026. She worked as an analyst for Fox Sports during the FIFA World Cup this past summer.

She had previously shared that her fertility journey included two unsuccessful rounds of IVF before becoming pregnant with her first child, Harper Anne, in 2024. Lloyd and Hollins, who have been together since high school, married in 2016.

Lloyd, a two-time FIFA Player of the Year, retired from professional soccer in 2021 after a 22-year career. She played 316 matches for the USWNT, scoring 134 goals, the third most in team history.
