Carle Place Football Player Tyler Marquart Stars in New Role as Ducks Honored for Atlantic League Title

Tyler Marquart, a senior at Carle Place High School, has transitioned into a significant offensive role for the Frogs football team this season. Marquart, who previously played as a blocking fullback, has become a speedy halfback and a primary receiving threat.

"Against Lawrence, I put up around 200 receiving yards — against Valley Stream North I put up around 100 receiving yards, 70 rushing yards," Marquart told The Post. He emphasized his commitment to the team, stating, "I’m going to do whatever I can to get that first down for our team — just a player trying to do it for the guys, helping everybody else out."

Marquart's strong performance in his expanded role has led him to consider continuing his football career at the collegiate level, despite his initial focus on playing baseball. "If a football program finds interest in me, I would tell them to reach out," he said. "Obviously this has been a big surprise, but it may end up being an option for me."

Currently, Marquart's primary focus is on improving the Carle Place team's record, which stands at 1-3. He expressed optimism about the team's potential, stating, "I think we’ll bounce back. The boys have really had grit and determination."
