Carl Radke Prepares for Fourth Marathon, Discusses 'Summer House' Season 11

Carl Radke is in the midst of his training for the New York City Marathon, marking his fourth marathon overall and his second time participating in the iconic New York race. Radke, a star of Bravo's reality series 'Summer House,' is running to raise money for Release Recovery, an organization that supports addiction and mental health services.

"They have a foundation and a lot of the money that we raise to run actually pays for someone’s rehab that can’t afford it," Radke explained in a recent interview. "And a lot of times people that need the treatment can’t afford it. So to be able use my running story to help other people, that’s everything. That’s why I do it. So it’s really powerful."

Radke is working with a coach and is currently in a tapering-down phase of his training, emphasizing the importance of rest and recovery. He is aiming for a personal record of under four hours, having previously completed the New York City Marathon in 4:04 and the London Marathon in 4:02. He anticipates support from his 'Summer House' castmates, including Kyle Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard, though he humorously noted their willingness to wake up early on race day is uncertain.

Beyond his marathon endeavors, Radke also offered a glimpse into the upcoming eleventh season of 'Summer House.' He revealed that the entire cast will enter the house single for the first time in the show's history, a change he believes will bring a fresh dynamic. The cast will also be in a new house this season, moving from the familiar location that held years of personal history for the ensemble.

"Everybody’s single, and Kyle is single. It’s for the first time in, I think, our show’s history where the entire group is coming into the house single," Radke stated. "We’re also in a new house, so two new things right off the bat. A brand new house. Everybody’s single. Feels pretty good to me."

Radke also reflected on his 'Summer House' co-star Ciara Miller's recent elimination from 'Dancing with the Stars.' He expressed disappointment, having booked a trip to support her before her exit. Despite not understanding the intricacies of the show's voting, he stated he and his castmates did their best to rally support for Miller.

"I rode for her as hard as I could and we tried to support Ciara as much as we could," he said. "But I’m really proud of her. I think she learned a lot and ultimately gained a lot from the experience."

When asked about the possibility of competing on 'Dancing with the Stars' himself, Radke expressed interest but acknowledged the show's popularity and the competition for spots. He also touched on his podcast, 'More Life with Carl Radke,' highlighting conversations with guests like Meredith Marks and his love for streaming documentaries, particularly those related to his hometown of Pittsburgh.
