The Arizona Cardinals are in the process of finalizing a trade for wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the No. 4 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Harrison will be inactive for the team's Week 5 game as the deal is being completed, according to ESPN.

The NFL trade deadline is still a month away, but the Cardinals are moving to trade one of their prominent players. The identity of the other team involved in the trade has not yet been disclosed.

Harrison, son of the Hall of Fame wideout Marvin Harrison Sr., has had a statistically challenging start to his 2026 season. Through the Cardinals' first four games, he has recorded just five receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown. This marks a decline from his rookie year in 2024, when he amassed 885 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, and a further drop from 608 yards and four touchdowns in 2025.

This development comes shortly after Harrison hired new agents Todd France and Tory Dandy of Athletes First. Teams such as the San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders have been identified as potential landing spots that could benefit from adding a receiver of Harrison's caliber.
