Cardinals Favored Over Giants in Week 4 Matchup
Arizona enters MetLife Stadium as a one-point favorite against a struggling New York Giants offense.
The Arizona Cardinals are favored by one point against the New York Giants in their Week 4 NFL matchup at MetLife Stadium. Despite preseason projections suggesting a difficult season for Arizona, the team has emerged as a slight favorite against Big Blue, which has shown recent offensive struggles.
The Giants began their season with a victory over the Cowboys but have faltered since quarterback Jameis Winston took over under center following an injury to Jaxson Dart. Winston completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards in his first start against Tennessee, and the Giants have averaged only 18 points over their last two games, with 12 of those points coming from field goals in their most recent outing against the Titans.
The Cardinals' 1-2 record does not fully reflect their performance. Arizona secured an opening-week road win against the Chargers and nearly overcame a 17-point deficit against the undefeated 49ers, ultimately losing 36-30. In that game, quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, while rookie running back Jeremiyah Love contributed 90 rushing yards.
Sports betting writer Dylan Svoboda, in his third season with the Post’s NFL Bettor’s Guide, noted that the Giants' offense has not demonstrated enough capability without Dart to inspire confidence, particularly against an Arizona team that has proven its ability to score against strong opponents. The betting play recommended is Cardinals -1 (-115).
