Florida deputies arrested a Canadian national during a traffic stop on July 29 after she allegedly provided a false name and investigators discovered 12 fraudulent identification cards in her vehicle. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released body camera footage of the arrest.

Deputies initiated the stop in Tampa because the vehicle's taillights and tag lights were not functioning. The driver, identified as Bryce Swanson, 28, initially claimed she was "Brianna Valenzuela" and stated she had a driver's license but did not have it with her. Swanson later told deputies she had never possessed a valid driver's license.

According to authorities, Swanson is a Canadian national who had overstayed her visa. During the traffic stop, she told a deputy she was visiting friends in Florida from New York, where she claimed to live. The deputy questioned her statements, noting she lacked any New York identification.

A search of Swanson's vehicle revealed 12 driver's licenses, all featuring her photograph but bearing different names and dates of birth. Deputies placed Swanson under arrest, charging her with driving without a valid driver's license and providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.

Jail records indicate Swanson is being held without bond due to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
