Canadian Family Fights Off Masked Intruders in Violent Home Invasion

A violent home invasion at a Toronto mansion early Thursday morning left a real estate CEO and his daughters injured, with the wife also attacked. The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. at the gated property of David Morton, CEO of MAC Group, in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood.

According to reports, Morton and his daughters, Maggie and Cristina Zohil-Morton, were shot. They, along with Doriana Zohil-Morton, were also reportedly attacked with a hammer as they attempted to fend off three intruders. The suspects were described as wearing hoodies and ski masks.

Toronto Police Service Inspector Kristy Smith stated that the intruders gained entry to the five-bedroom residence through a rear door.

David Morton is a prominent figure in the real estate industry, and the family resides in one of Toronto's most exclusive areas. Further details regarding the motive for the invasion or the condition of the victims have not been released.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
