Cameron Diaz was seen in Santa Barbara, California, on Thursday, approximately three months after she and her husband, Benji Madden, announced the arrival of their third child. The 53-year-old actress was accompanied by fellow Hollywood star Zoe Saldana, 48, for the outing.
Diaz, who appeared makeup-free, wore a wide-brimmed straw sunhat and a casual outfit consisting of a white T-shirt, black jeans, and sandals. She had a gray sweater tied around her neck as she conversed with Saldana. Saldana also opted for a relaxed ensemble of slouchy blue jeans, a layered tank top, and sandals, with her hair pulled back in a ponytail and large sunglasses obscuring her eyes.
The pair have maintained a close friendship for years. In 2024, Saldana shared that her three sons refer to Diaz as "auntie" in Spanish. Saldana made this revelation during a speech at Elle's Women in Hollywood event, expressing her admiration for Diaz's ability to balance a prominent career with a private family life. She referred to Diaz as a friend and a gift to her children.
Diaz and Madden, married since 2015, welcomed their third child, a son named Nautas, in May 2026. Benji Madden confirmed the birth on Instagram, stating that both he and Cameron were "Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden."
The couple also have a daughter, Raddix, aged six, and a son, Cardinal, aged two. Diaz has previously spoken about her experience as an older mother, having welcomed her first child at age 47. She also addressed her decade-long acting hiatus, which concluded in 2025, in anticipation of her role in the 2026 film Outcome.
In an interview prior to Nautas's birth, Diaz reflected on her time away from acting, stating she was "glad [she] took a break" to focus on her family. She described motherhood as her "favorite thing I've ever done" and the "best part of my life." Diaz has also credited her friend Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband for encouraging her to have children, a decision she said significantly altered her life.
