A California man has been arrested on federal charges for allegedly sending death threats to a judge who is connected to a friend of Nolan Wells, a man found dead after a Fourth of July boating trip. Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce is accused of using social media to send threatening messages to Jackson County Chancery Judge Ashlee Cole.

According to court records, Dumarce allegedly used the social media account 'yaeyae962' to send messages threatening Cole and her family. Warren Hudson, Judge Cole's stepson, was among the friends who were with Wells on Horn Island. Wells, 18, was discovered deceased on July 6, after disappearing during the boating excursion off the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

One of the messages cited in court documents allegedly warned of a "package" being sent to Cole's office that would "blow" her away upon opening, and stated, "Blood. So much blood everywhere. Hard to clean. Especially from a boat. But yours will be quick I promise." The account also claimed to possess Cole's private information, including her phone number and address, stating, "not even the FBI can stop this." Other alleged messages threatened Cole's sons, with one stating, "Ima wrap this kid in a blanket wrapped with [barb] wire and throw him in a lake."

Cole reportedly posted screenshots of the threats on Facebook on July 9, showing the burner account making violent comments on her photos. FBI Safe Streets Task Force agents traced the account through an associated email address, phone number, date of birth, and addresses, leading them to Dumarce.
