California Democrat Staffer Arrested by ICE in Las Vegas

Ho-Yin Mo, a field representative for California Assemblywoman Catherine Stefani and a former news anchor, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Las Vegas on Thursday, September 17. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the arrest, which took place at Harry Reid International Airport.

According to the DHS, Mo entered the United States lawfully on a temporary basis on January 13, 2020, but overstayed his visa, failing to depart by the designated date of May 15, 2020. The department stated that "work authorization or a pending application do NOT confer legal status in the United States."

Stefani's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Post.
