An 18-year-old student at Cal State Fullerton died Saturday after attending a fraternity event, with investigators identifying alcohol consumption as a contributing factor in his death.
Anthony Joseph Blas was transported to St. Jude Medical Center shortly after midnight on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Police stated that hazing was not a factor in the incident and there is no evidence of foul play. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding Blas's death is ongoing.
