Caitlin Clark's Halftime Vomiting Precedes Indiana Fever Victories
The star guard has played through illness twice this season, with her team winning both games.
Caitlin Clark vomited at halftime of the Indiana Fever's Game 2 victory over the Las Vegas Aces, a performance that contributed to a 99-88 win and forced a deciding Game 3 in their playoff series.
Clark revealed after the game that she felt unwell during the break. "To be honest, I threw up everything in my stomach at halftime," she said. "I was just out there so tired. It wasn’t because I didn’t feel good or anything. I just was that gassed."
Despite the illness, Clark recorded 27 points, 15 assists, and seven rebounds. This is not the first time Clark has played through vomiting at halftime. In June, she experienced a similar situation during a game against the Atlanta Dream, which the Fever also won.
The Indiana Fever are now 2-0 in games where Clark has vomited at halftime, a statistic that has drawn notable attention from sports commentators.
The series between the Fever and the Aces, which the Fever kept alive with their Game 2 win, will now proceed to Game 3 in Las Vegas.
