Caitlin Clark Details Vomiting Incident During Fever's Playoff Victory

Caitlin Clark disclosed that she vomited at halftime during the Indiana Fever's Game 2 playoff victory against the Las Vegas Aces, attributing the incident to extreme fatigue and overhydration. The star player stated, "I threw up everything in my stomach at halftime. I was just out there so tired. It wasn’t because I didn’t feel good or anything. I just was that gassed."

The Fever secured a 99-89 win over the Aces, with Clark contributing 27 points, 15 assists, and seven rebounds. This performance marked her as the first player in WNBA history to achieve at least 25 points and 15 assists in a single game.

Clark, who later joked about potentially repeating the incident in the next game's halftime, clarified that the discomfort stemmed from exhaustion and drinking too much water. She expressed apologies for the unsanitary nature of the event to anyone nearby.

Clark also commented on the team's improved performance in Game 2, noting a significant increase in toughness compared to their Game 1 performance. "I thought that we were just soft in Game 1 and I thought tonight we just played a lot tougher," she said. "Just really proud of this group."

The series between the Fever and Aces also saw a moment of controversy when A'ja Wilson received a technical foul following an interaction with a Fever fan. The decisive Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at 9 p.m. ET at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
