Cabinet Spouses Form Support Network Amidst Washington Life

Spouses of Trump administration Cabinet members have established a private support network, meeting monthly for lunches and girls' nights out to navigate life in Washington. Actress Cheryl Hines, wife of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy, wife of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, discussed this informal club on the latest episode of Fox News' "the Girls" podcast.

"We actually get together like once a month or, you know, we have a club that we're part of," Campos-Duffy said. "We see each other then, and then sometimes we'll go to lunch or next week I think we're just doing a girls' night out after."

Hines, known for her role in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," noted that seeing familiar faces at administration events provides comfort. She described how she and Campos-Duffy often gravitate toward each other in large crowds at White House events. "It's nice to have a pal," Hines said.

Campos-Duffy added that while they often see each other at official functions, the crowded settings make meaningful conversations difficult, leading them to prioritize private gatherings. "We do find that time, which is actually really great," she said.

The conversation also touched on Kennedy's advocacy for healthy living, including his promotion of the "Make America Healthy Again" movement and concerns about ultra-processed foods. Hines shared a humorous anecdote about Kennedy's reaction to her eating potato chips, quoting him as asking, "Are you [going to] do this in front of me?"

Hines also described Kennedy's struggles with moderation when it comes to sweets. "If you're eating, like, a piece of cake or something, the problem with Bobby is he can't have a bite. He has to have the whole thing," Hines explained, laughing.
