An attempted robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Tucson, Arizona, was thwarted by bystanders on July 9, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The incident involved a 70-year-old man who was reportedly followed into the restaurant by a suspect. Video released by police shows the suspect then allegedly attempting to steal the elderly man's bag and pushing him to the ground.
Witnesses present at the scene intervened to stop the assault. The suspect fled the restaurant following the bystanders' intervention. Officers were later able to locate and arrest the 34-year-old suspect after receiving information from witnesses who observed the incident.
