Business Owner Uses Forklift to Move Illegally Parked Car
A shop owner in Greater Manchester resorted to using a forklift to remove a car that was blocking his business entrance.
A furious business owner took matters into his own hands when a car was parked directly in front of his shop, blocking access to his warehouse. Luke Thurling, 38, owner of Stockport Pallet Warehouse, used a forklift to move the Ford Fiesta that was obstructing his entrance in Hallam Mill, Stockport.
Thurling stated that the recurring issue is exacerbated by the proximity of several gyms, leading to frequent parking obstructions. However, this instance prompted him to take direct action.
He captured the incident on video and shared it online, hoping to deter other drivers from blocking his business. "Someone parked right in front of our shutter, so we couldn't open the warehouse," Thurling said. "Usually we shift pallets, but today we've branched out into valet parking. Please keep our shutter clear - we've got enough customer returns without adding a Ford Fiesta to the pile."
The driver of the car appeared unaware that their vehicle had been moved. "The owner seemed to drive off unaware of what happened," Mr. Thurling added.
The video garnered positive reactions on social media, with many viewers expressing similar frustrations with parking issues. Comments included appreciation for Thurling's decisive action and shared desires to employ similar methods in their own parking predicaments.
