Commissioner emeritus Bud Selig, who owned the Milwaukee Brewers for 58 years before selling the team, is celebrating the franchise's second World Series appearance, marking a 44-year wait since their last trip. Selig, 92, expressed his deep satisfaction with the moment.

“This is a great moment for me. This is a great moment for Milwaukee,” Selig told The Post. “I had a good feeling this year. This team, you’re going to see, is different.”

The Brewers' current roster features three starting pitchers—Jacob Misiorowski, Logan Henderson, and Robert Gasser—who are in their first full seasons. This is a rare occurrence, with the 2015 New York Mets being the last team to achieve this feat with Noah Syndergaard, Jacob deGrom, and Steven Matz.

Elsewhere in baseball, Kevin Long, who recently parted ways with the Philadelphia Phillies as hitting coach, is reportedly being interviewed by the Mets for a potential return to the hitting coach position. Long has existing ties within the organization, including a past connection with former player and current executive Carlos Beltrán, whom Long reportedly taught switch-hitting during their time together in the Royals minor league system.
