Bryan Johnson, the 48-year-old entrepreneur known for his intensive longevity experiments, has expressed doubts about the extremity of his regimen following a recent autoimmune disease diagnosis. In a post on X, Johnson questioned whether he had "taken this whole longevity thing too far." Despite this introspection, he maintains his strict avoidance of common indulgences like beer and pizza, considering them detrimental.

Johnson, who adheres to a vegan diet and an intermittent fasting schedule, consuming only 2,250 calories between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., stated that such foods make him feel unwell. "Those things just make me sick. I can’t even imagine. It wrecks my sleep," he told The Guardian.

Instead of traditional treats, Johnson defines a reward as the feeling of being energetic, clear-headed, and in a stable mood. He sees his dedication to rejuvenation as a professional pursuit, comparing it to an athlete's discipline. "Rejuvenation is my sport — I’m playing it as an athlete," Johnson said.

His daily routine includes drinking green juice with creatine and collagen peptides, followed by vegetables and a small amount of dark chocolate. Protein is sourced from legumes and plant-based powders, concluding with a nut-based pudding. Johnson aims to finish his last meal at least four hours before his 8:30 p.m. bedtime.

Johnson claims to experience significant joy from feeling well and not experiencing depression, even when facing public criticism. He noted that while he hosts social gatherings, he may only pick at food to maintain social connections without compromising his diet. This approach to longevity is a core aspect of his lifestyle, which he likens to a career.
