Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Announce Australian Tour
The 'Breaking Bad' stars will reunite on stage in January 2027 for a series of shows across Australia.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, known for their iconic roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the acclaimed crime drama "Breaking Bad," are set to embark on a tour of Australia in January 2027. The tour, titled "An Evening With Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul," will feature the long-time friends discussing their experiences filming the series and sharing behind-the-scenes stories.
During an appearance on "Sunrise," Cranston expressed enthusiasm for connecting with their Australian fanbase. "We understand that it's very, very popular down there. And we're excited to be able to share all the stories behind the scenes, what we were thinking, what we were doing when the scenes were going on. And also what led us to, you know, Breaking Bad," he said.
"Breaking Bad," which premiered in 2008 and concluded in 2013 after five seasons and 62 episodes, garnered significant critical acclaim, earning 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. The series followed Cranston's character, Walter White, a chemistry teacher who turns to methamphetamine production after a cancer diagnosis, and Paul's character, Jesse Pinkman, his former student and business partner.
The tour is expected to delve into various aspects of the show, including its writing, production, challenging filming days, and memorable scenes that have resonated with audiences for over a decade. Cranston and Paul are also slated to discuss their individual careers beyond "Breaking Bad," their personal lives, and the enduring friendship that has continued since the show wrapped.
Their collaboration has extended beyond acting, with the pair launching their mezcal brand, Dos Hombres, together.
For Cranston, the tour represents a long-awaited visit to Australia. He recounted a past opportunity to film in the country that ultimately fell through, a disappointment he shared with his then-young daughter.
The tour dates include:
- Friday, January 15: Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
- Monday, January 18: RAC Arena, Perth
- Friday, January 22: MCEC Plenary, Melbourne
- Monday, January 25: TikTok Entertainment Centre, Sydney
The tour will conclude with a performance at Auckland's NZICC Te Pae Theatre in New Zealand on Thursday, January 28.
