Bruno Fernandes Dropped by Manchester United Amidst Tactical Criticism

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dropped midfielder Bruno Fernandes for the team's match against Bournemouth, marking the first time in nearly five years the player has been absent for non-injury reasons.

The decision comes days after Fernandes publicly criticized the team's tactics following a 4-1 loss to Como. He expressed dissatisfaction with the coaching staff's approach to pressing and defensive strategy.

"It's a decision from the staff to not press man-to-man and sometimes leave a little space in behind and try to get the ball in the first moment, to wait for them, to give them the ball," Fernandes stated. "But sometimes when you give too much the ball to these teams they get confident, they have so many bodies behind the ball that make you run a lot, make people get frustrated, and then obviously when you recover the ball the legs are, and the brain, much more difficult to make it work."

The Premier League schedule for Sunday includes Manchester United's match against Bournemouth, Liverpool hosting Brighton, Crystal Palace playing Newcastle, and Hull City facing Brentford, all kicking off at 2 PM. Later, Sunderland will play Leeds at 4:30 PM.
