Brooklyn Beckham has once again found himself the subject of online scrutiny for a dish he shared on Instagram. The 27-year-old, who has an interest in culinary arts, posted a video demonstrating how to make spaghetti all’assassina, a pasta dish known for its crispy, charred texture and the fact that it does not require boiling.

In the clip, Beckham utilized ingredients such as tomato paste, pre-made tomato sauce, stock from a carton, and pre-peeled garlic. He proceeded to cook the raw pasta directly in this mixture until the noodles softened.

The video quickly garnered attention in the comments section, with many followers expressing their disapproval. One user described the meal as "Basically burnt pasta with jar sauce." Another commented, "This looks… in a word – vile. It’s not even cooked properly 😂." A third follower remarked, "A tube of paste, a jar of sauce, ready prepped garlic….. that’s not real cooking oh and the spaghetti looks half cooked. No thanks," while a fourth simply stated, "That looks dreadful. 😐."

However, not all reactions were negative. One commenter defended Beckham's dish, noting, "Those who don’t know, spaghetti all’ assessina [sic] is a typical plate in Plugia region of Italy, and this is a quite good representation of the recipe. So calm down everyone, it’s delicious 😋."

Beckham appeared to respond to the criticism by posting an image of David Schwimmer's character, Ross Geller, from the television show "Friends," performing a gesture of defiance. This is not the first time Beckham's cooking has drawn a strong reaction online. In August, he faced criticism for preparing pasta using seawater.

Earlier in the month, Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were in Paris. The couple was observed engaging in public displays of affection on the same evening that Beckham's mother, Victoria Beckham, was presenting her fashion collection during Paris Fashion Week.

In January, Brooklyn Beckham addressed rumors of estrangement from his family in a social media post. He accused his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, of attempting to control him and interfere with his wedding to Peltz, stating, "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled; I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family."
