Brooklyn Beckham has publicly emphasized his bond with father-in-law Nelson Peltz, sharing moments from a farmer's market outing with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham and her parents. The outing and accompanying social media posts come as reports suggest a continued rift between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
In a video shared on Nicola Peltz Beckham's Instagram, Brooklyn and Nelson Peltz were shown interacting while shopping for produce. Nicola Peltz Beckham captioned the clip, 'They left us,' implying a lighthearted separation from her parents.
This public display follows Brooklyn's recent birthday tribute to Nelson Peltz, his father-in-law and billionaire businessman. Brooklyn posted a photo with Nelson, writing, "Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much. I'm so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law."
Brooklyn's apparent focus on his wife's family has been interpreted as a continuation of a public snub to his estranged parents. He has reportedly not publicly acknowledged his parents' birthdays or significant milestones in over a year, including a recent Father's Day post from David Beckham that included Brooklyn.
Reports indicate that Brooklyn was "furious" after his parents included him in their Father's Day social media posts and requested they cease public mentions of him. A source told The Sun that Brooklyn wishes his parents would "leave him alone."
Prior to this, Brooklyn was reportedly paid a substantial sum for a two-part commercial with the food delivery service DoorDash. In the advertisement, he alluded to his absence from the FIFA World Cup 2026, stating, "It's a long story." This has been interpreted by some as a jab at his parents, with friends of the Beckhams reportedly calling the ad "shocking" and stating they were "devastated and inconsolable" by the perceived jibe.
In January, a statement attributed to Brooklyn reportedly denounced his parents, claiming he had cut ties with the family and was no longer part of "Brand Beckham." The statement also alleged that his parents had exerted control over him, attempted to create distance between him and Nicola, and caused embarrassment at his wedding.
Communication between Brooklyn and his parents has reportedly become strained, with the former allegedly blocking his parents on Instagram and his legal team later requesting all contact be channeled through representatives. The Daily Mail has reached out to Brooklyn's representatives for comment.
