Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz recently celebrated the anniversary of their vow renewal, a ceremony from which his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, were reportedly excluded. The couple took to Instagram to share their reflections on the event, which they refer to as their 'official' anniversary.
While Beckham and Peltz initially married in April 2022 in a large ceremony at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, they later held a second ceremony in August 2025. According to reports, this subsequent vow renewal did not include members of the Beckham family.
Marking the anniversary over the weekend and posting on Tuesday, Brooklyn Beckham shared a heartfelt message for his wife. "Happy anniversary Nicola I can’t tell you how much I love you x you are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx. I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx you are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx," he wrote. Peltz also posted, expressing her love and gratitude for her husband.
This celebration comes after a period of reported estrangement between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents. In January, he released a statement detailing alleged past incidents that caused him anxiety and embarrassment, including claims that his mother, Victoria Beckham, had hijacked his first dance at the original wedding and called him 'evil' during wedding planning. He stated that the vow renewal was an effort to "create new memories that bring us joy and happiness."
Last week, Brooklyn and Peltz were in the South of France holidaying with godfather Elton John on his yacht. They reportedly narrowly missed an encounter with his parents, who were also vacationing on their yacht in St. Tropez, approximately 75 miles away.
Beckham has previously stated that his parents have controlled narratives in the press about their family and have attempted to damage his relationship with Peltz. He cited instances where his wife felt disrespected and instances where his family allegedly refused to spend time with him or invited past romantic interests of his into their lives. He also claimed his family values public image and endorsements above personal relationships.
He further alleged that his mother cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute and that his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name before the wedding. Brooklyn Beckham has also stated that he does not wish to reconcile with his family and is standing up for himself for the first time in his life.
