Brooke Hogan Disputes Mother's Denial of Hulk Hogan's Affair

Brooke Hogan has publicly refuted her estranged mother Linda Hogan's denial of the late wrestling star Hulk Hogan's alleged affair with a close friend.

"I genuinely hope she finds whatever help and healing she needs," Brooke Hogan, 38, told Us Weekly on September 25, referring to her mother, Linda Hogan, 67. "She’s my mom, and I love her. But loving someone doesn’t mean allowing them to keep bullying you, publicly rewriting history or provoking you and expecting you to stay silent."

Brooke Hogan's comments came after Linda Hogan denied that her ex-husband had sex with Christiane Plante, a friend of Brooke's. On September 24, Brooke Hogan had spoken to Us Weekly about the alleged affair, stating it made her relationship with her father "increasingly complicated" and marked a "major turning point."

Linda Hogan, who was married to Hulk Hogan from 1983 to 2009, wrote on an E! News Instagram post on September 25, "I was there and no he didn’t."

Brooke Hogan advised her mother to "quit while she’s behind." She added, "Not because I’m looking for a fight — I’m not — but because I have no interest in arguing, and I also have no interest in continuing to absorb attacks quietly. The truth is documented."

To support her claims, Brooke Hogan pointed to her mother's 2011 memoir, "Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes." In the book, Linda Hogan wrote about her suspicions of Hulk's affair with Plante and how Brooke confirmed them.

"When Brooke told me about [Hulk’s] affair with Christiane, it felt good to hear Brooke say that my suspicions were right all along," Linda Hogan wrote in her memoir, according to Brooke. "She told me that she felt bad for me. Having Brooke understand my position gave me extra confirmation that I had made the right decision."

Christiane Plante herself confirmed the affair with Hulk Hogan in a 2008 interview with the National Enquirer. Plante stated that her relationship with the WWE champion began after Linda Hogan had already left him.

Brooke Hogan reflected on how the family dynamic shifted after her parents' divorce. "Over time, things became increasingly complicated until eventually the relationship I had always believed could survive anything couldn’t survive what was happening around us anymore," she told Us Weekly. "That’s probably the biggest thing I wish people understood about the Hogan family: Public perception reduces families into heroes and villains."
