Brooke Bellamy, owner of Brooki Bakehouse, announced on Thursday morning that she is pregnant with her third child. She shared the news via Instagram, posting images that included a sonogram and one of her children touching her baby bump. Bellamy stated that the baby is due this Christmas.
This announcement follows a period of scrutiny in April 2025 when Nagi Maehashi, founder of RecipeTin Eats, accused Bellamy of plagiarizing caramel slice and baklava recipes for her cookbook, "Bake with Brooki." At the time, Bellamy was pregnant with her second child and issued statements defending her work. She acknowledged that her recipes were not entirely original, a common practice in baking, but asserted they were personal interpretations. Bellamy explained that her inspiration came from global bakeries and, most significantly, her mother.
Bellamy rejected the notion that her recipes were stolen, highlighting the precise, scientific nature of baking and the inherent similarities in many recipes due to shared steps and measures. American baker Sally McKenny also claimed that her vanilla cake recipe was used in Bellamy's cookbook and on her YouTube channel, emphasizing the importance of crediting original recipe creators.
Bellamy and her husband, Justice Bellamy, already have two children. Their first daughter, Colette Marie, was born in September 2024.
