Former CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin has offered a candid look into her personal life, detailing recent attention from multiple men and her perspective on casual sex. In a Substack post published over the weekend, the 47-year-old journalist revealed that four men recently sought romantic or sexual encounters with her. Among them was an individual described as having "used to run a country," another who "literally flew in just to take me to dinner," and a third she characterized as "hot."

Despite acknowledging the flattery and describing herself as someone who "loves sex" and is "pretty damn good at it," Baldwin ultimately declined all four advances. She explained this decision by stating her desire to protect her energy for a "larger purpose" she is currently building, a philosophy she termed "LEAKY." This approach, she clarified, is a form of protection rather than punishment for the life she is trying to construct.

Baldwin also touched upon recent romantic disappointment, noting that six months prior, she anticipated marrying someone this year. "Heartbreak has its own timeline," she wrote, reflecting on the end of that relationship.

This personal reflection follows her departure from CNN in 2021 after a 13-year tenure. Baldwin has previously suggested her exit from the network was not entirely voluntary, describing it as a negotiated separation. In a 2024 Vanity Fair essay, she alleged that conflicts with an executive producer, whom she accused of "gaslighting, manipulation and bullying," contributed to her departure. Baldwin claimed that her request to have the producer moved from her team was rejected by then-CNN president Jeff Zucker, marking what she perceived as "the beginning of the end."

Baldwin's Substack has become a platform for her to share personal essays since leaving CNN. Earlier in July, she disclosed a past experience she believes was a sexual assault. She recounted an incident from when she was 21, during a spring break trip to Los Angeles, where two older men allegedly tampered with her drink. Baldwin stated that her memory of the event is fragmented, with her waking up on a hotel bathroom floor next to an unknown man.
