Brittany Mahomes Trolls Raiders After Chiefs' Comeback Victory
Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany, poked fun at the Raiders' coach's halftime confidence following Kansas City's narrow win.
Brittany Mahomes celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs' 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders by referencing Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak's confident halftime statement. Following the game, Mahomes posted a carousel of her outfit with a caption that included Kubiak’s assertion to CBS’ Tracy Wolfson: “We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game.”
The Raiders held a 13-10 lead at halftime, and Kubiak expressed certainty in his team’s ability to secure the win. However, the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, mounted a significant comeback in the second half.
Kansas City scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to outscore the Raiders 20-14 in the final period. A pivotal moment came when Mahomes connected with Tyquan Thornton for a 55-yard pass, leading to a touchdown by Kenneth Walker on the subsequent play. The momentum shifted further when the Raiders fumbled the ensuing kickoff, resulting in another touchdown for Walker. Although the Raiders managed to narrow the score to three points with a touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Brock Bowers, a late interception by Cousins sealed the Chiefs' victory.
The win improved the Chiefs' record to 4-0, while the Raiders fell to 3-1.
