Brittany Mahomes expressed her excitement for her husband Patrick Mahomes' return to football and subtly criticized ESPN analysts following the Kansas City Chiefs' decisive 31-10 victory over the Denver Broncos.

Mahomes, who had been recovering from a torn ACL and LCL sustained the previous season, took the field at Arrowhead Stadium for Monday Night Football. Brittany shared a video of his entrance on her Instagram story with the caption "HESSSSS BACKKKKKKKKK."

The quarterback's performance marked a triumphant homecoming, as he threw for 184 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, in addition to scoring a 15-yard rushing touchdown.

Following the game, Brittany posted images of Mahomes, showcasing her support. She also shared a screenshot of ESPN's Week 1 picks, highlighting that analysts Domonique Foxworth, Tedy Bruschi, Rex Ryan, and Mike Greenberg had all predicted a Broncos win. Brittany added the caption "Oopsies" over the image.

Earlier in the day, Patrick Mahomes had greeted Brittany on the field during warmups for a kiss before the game. Brittany attended the game with Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, high school sweethearts, married in 2022 and have three children: daughters Sterling and Golden, and son Patrick Jr.

Mahomes' injury last season occurred during a game against the Chargers, a loss that also eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention for the first time since 2014. Coach Andy Reid indicated that the quarterback was only cleared to play a few days before the season opener.

"Going for the end zone, it kind of gave me that confidence that I can go out there and be myself," Patrick Mahomes stated after the game. "I just wanted to play. I had done so much rehab and so much work to put myself in this position. I just wanted to get out there and play. This is what you do it for. That was definitely the moment, physically, to say all this work has paid off. I didn’t feel anything."

The Chiefs are scheduled to host the Colts in Week 2 and then travel to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.
