Brittany Hockley Announces Pregnancy After Fertility Struggles
Former 'Bachelor' star Brittany Hockley and husband Benjamin Siegrist are expecting their first child, sharing the news on social media.
Brittany Hockley is pregnant with her first child, announcing the news on Tuesday with her husband of one year, Swiss footballer Benjamin Siegrist.
The couple shared the happy update via an Instagram post, featuring a video of Siegrist cradling Hockley's baby bump.
"Can't believe we are saying this, but it's time for the next chapter… Baby squid is on its way!" the caption read.
Friends and fans quickly offered congratulations. "I am crying, and not just saying I'm crying, THIS ACTUALLY MADE ME CRY! Congrats you two," wrote Paralympian Ellie Cole. "OMG OMG THIS IS THE BEST. Congratulations," posted fellow Bachelor star Holly Nicholson, while Ramona Agruma-Wilson, wife of Rebel Wilson, added: "Congratulations!"
This announcement follows Hockley's earlier public discussion of her fertility struggles, which she addressed in July after facing criticism for being childfree following her marriage.
Hockley, 39, had been sharing her travels with Siegrist, 34, on social media, with one post showcasing the couple visiting various international destinations. This lifestyle content led to questions about children.
In a heartfelt social media post, Hockley stated, "Every day I get asked why I don't have kids, or if I am having them. That I am missing out. To that I say, I can't fall pregnant."
She continued, "It's not for lack of trying, trust me. No harm is ever meant when people ask, I know that. And my answer might sound blunt. But we haven't been able to fall pregnant. This is just the truth of it."
Hockley explained that infertility consumes one's life and thoughts, acknowledging the shared experience with others going through similar challenges.
The television personality and Siegrist were married in a ceremony in Bali in June 2025. Hockley recently relocated to Italy to live with Siegrist, a move she announced in December to spend more time together after a period of long-distance.
