Brittany Cartwright has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, as their divorce proceedings intensify. The order, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, comes amid allegations of domestic abuse detailed in a declaration by Cartwright.

In the court documents, Cartwright described what she termed years of "coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence" by Taylor. She specifically cited an incident where Taylor allegedly threatened to "gut [her] like a fish" during a physical altercation involving thrown furniture, which she claims resulted in her injuries.

Taylor, a former cast member of "Vanderpump Rules," is now required to remain 100 feet away from Cartwright. The couple, who were together from 2015 to 2024, share a 5-year-old son, Cruz. Cartwright also alleged that Taylor has used child support and spousal support requests as a form of intimidation.

Cartwright's declaration further outlines instances where she claims Taylor subjected her to verbal abuse in front of their son and in public, using derogatory terms. She also detailed alleged property damage, including claims that Taylor broke three of her iPhones and an iPad. Additionally, Cartwright alleged that Taylor took her $70,000 wedding ring and has refused to return it.

The filing also included accusations of stalking behavior, with Cartwright claiming Taylor accessed her iPhone, messages, and Instagram account, and deleted communications. These reports were first published by TMZ.

While Cartwright requested sole custody of their son, the judge denied this request on Thursday, pending a future hearing. Representatives for Jax Taylor did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
