Brittany Cartwright revealed that her former publicist, Lori Krebs, contacted her with a warning text message prior to news breaking about her relationship with estranged husband Jax Taylor. Cartwright stated on "Watch What Happens Live" that Krebs texted her on the morning the photos emerged, informing her that "things have changed" and that Cartwright would "feel betrayed."
According to Cartwright, Krebs sent the text approximately two hours before TMZ published photos of her and Taylor. She described Krebs as a close friend, calling her "family basically," and confirmed that Krebs was still her publicist at the time, receiving a retainer and profiting from her work.
Cartwright contested Taylor's assertion that she and Krebs had not been close for over a year. She stated that she had recently invited Krebs to a Fourth of July gathering and that Krebs had accompanied her on a prior "Watch What Happens Live" appearance in April. Cartwright expressed shock at Krebs' actions, noting that Krebs had been a confidante during difficult times in her marriage to Taylor.
"She knows everything. She knows he manipulates and love bombs, and she still chose that over me and all of her friendships, her job, her family," Cartwright said. "She chose it over everything, knowing his personality. It was so heartbreaking for me."
Cartwright and Taylor, who share a 5-year-old son, Cruz, separated in February 2024. She has accused Taylor of "harassing" her via their co-parenting app.
Taylor, who confirmed last week that he is "taken" but did not name his new partner, responded to Cartwright's interview on Instagram, calling the claims "blatant lies."
Krebs had served as the publicist for both Cartwright and Taylor for over a decade. Photos of Taylor and Krebs together, described as intimate, were published by TMZ and showed them at a resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A source told Page Six that Krebs had a history of inserting herself into client matters and had "crossed a line she cannot come back from."
