Brittany Cartwright has detailed what she calls a "complete betrayal" by her former publicist, Lori Krebs, who is reportedly now romantically involved with Cartwright's estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
Cartwright, a reality television personality, shared her feelings during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," describing Krebs as someone she considered "family" and a confidante. The betrayal, she explained, became apparent when Krebs, who was still her publicist and friend, began a relationship with Taylor amid Cartwright and Taylor's ongoing divorce proceedings.
According to Cartwright, Krebs alerted her to the developing relationship shortly before photos of them together in Mexico were published. "She was still getting a retainer from me, still making 10% on things from me, she was still my friend... family, basically," Cartwright stated, expressing her shock that Krebs would pursue a relationship with Taylor, knowing his personality and the difficulties Cartwright had faced.
Cartwright recounted that Krebs had been a source of support during her relationship with Taylor, saying, "I cried on her shoulders." She alleged that Krebs, knowing Taylor's tendencies to "manipulate and love bomb," still chose to pursue a relationship with him.
In response to Cartwright's claims, Taylor posted a statement on Instagram, shared by the Bravo show, denying Cartwright's allegations of missing parenting time with their son, Cruz. He stated that the claims were "blatant lies" and that he has never missed scheduled time with his son. Taylor further alleged that Cartwright had refused him scheduled time with their son due to "personal matters" and that an emergency court hearing was scheduled. He also claimed that Cartwright had attempted career sabotage, referencing a recent incident involving a purported brand deal with Smartwater that turned out to be unauthorized.
Taylor asserted that Cartwright had turned an "honest mistake" into "pure entertainment" to humiliate him. He stated that he had been trying to move forward and rebuild his life but faced constant attempts to undermine his opportunities. Taylor also alleged that Cartwright had contacted brands and networks, hindering his ability to earn a living.
Cartwright and Taylor, who met Krebs a decade ago, have been navigating a public divorce since August 2022, after four years of marriage. They share a five-year-old son, Cruz. Cartwright noted that Krebs had been a part of her professional life for 10 years, from "Vanderpump Rules" to "The Valley."
A source close to Cartwright denied Taylor's allegations, telling Us Weekly that Cartwright "is and always has been the victim" and that any struggles Taylor faced in booking jobs were due to his "own actions—both on and off camera."
