Brittany Cartwright, a Bravo personality, has revealed that she has lost 20 pounds with the assistance of GLP-1 medications, stating that negative comments from online users motivated her to begin the treatment. The 37-year-old shared her experience on Instagram on July 21, while promoting the telehealth company Join Fridays.

GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Wegovy, were initially developed for type 2 diabetes but have become widely recognized for their effectiveness in weight management. Cartwright showcased before-and-after photos of her weight loss in a video, noting that she had recently dropped two dress sizes.

"I saw all the body shaming comments about me, but instead of pissing me off, they made me motivated," Cartwright said in the video's voice-over. She admitted to being nervous about trying the medication, despite noting that many people she knew were already using it. After three months of using the injections, she reported significant weight loss.

"Month four, I feel amazing ... I'm sparkling all over the place and finally starting to feel like myself again," Cartwright stated.

In the Instagram comments, Cartwright clarified that her weight loss followed a "mommy makeover" procedure she underwent in October. "For anyone wondering, I’ve lost 20 pounds since my mommy makeover that happened in October. I started with [Join] Fridays long after my surgery, so the weight loss happened afterward," she wrote. She further explained that the surgery boosted her confidence, and the subsequent weight loss enhanced her self-assurance, distinguishing the two.

The mommy makeover procedure included abdominal reconstruction, liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a breast lift with smaller implants, reportedly costing around $75,000.

Cartwright's public discussion of her weight loss comes shortly after her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, was seen with their publicist, Lori Krebs, in Mexico. The two were photographed together during a group trip celebrating Taylor's 47th birthday.

Reports indicate that Cartwright subsequently terminated Krebs's services. She addressed the situation on her podcast, "When Reality Hits," stating her intention to share her perspective on the matter when she felt ready. "As of right now, I am focusing on me and the most important thing in my life, which is my beautiful son," Cartwright said, emphasizing her desire to protect her son and her peace. She shares their son, Cruz, with Taylor.

Cartwright and Taylor married in 2019 during their time on the reality show "Vanderpump Rules." Their marital issues were documented on the show, leading Cartwright to file for divorce in 2024, which remains unfinalized.
