Jayden James Federline, son of pop star Britney Spears, has spoken about his mother's support following her DUI arrest and his recent runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston Federline, walked in the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show.
In an interview with Vogue, Jayden described his mother as being nervous for them as they prepared to walk the runway. "She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do," he told the outlet. Spears sent flowers and frequently communicated with her sons before the show, offering encouragement. "She was like, ‘Yeah, you guys are my sons. You’ve got this,’" Jayden recalled.
The brothers supported each other during the event, with Jayden noting, "Preston and I were always just checking in on each other, asking each other how we were going to walk, and making fun of each other a little bit."
Sean Preston, who had not previously envisioned walking in a fashion show, decided to participate because of the brand Vetements and the notable individuals involved. He described the experience as having "crazy" energy.
Jayden has also been involved in the fashion world, making a rare red carpet appearance at the Dior Cruise 2027 show in Los Angeles in May. This marked his first red carpet event in over a decade.
Britney Spears was not present at the Paris Fashion Week show but was active on social media, posting a video of herself in a pink minidress. Separately, Sean Preston began using his mother's last name, Spears, on social media in April, changing his handle from Sean Preston to Sean P Spears.
Both sons relocated to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, in 2023. However, Jayden has since returned to Los Angeles to pursue his music aspirations, according to Federline's memoir. Federline expressed pride in his sons' growth and their readiness for life.
Spears appears to have reconciled with her children after a period of estrangement, sharing photos and videos with them on social media in recent months. Both sons reportedly staged an intervention for Spears following her DUI arrest in March, which led her to check into a rehabilitation facility. Spears later referred to the DUI incident as a "blessing in disguise."
Spears pleaded guilty to a DUI charge and was sentenced to 12 months of probation. She was ordered to complete an alcohol and drug education program, pay a fine, and attend therapy sessions. Following her arrest, Spears voluntarily checked into the Borden Cottage rehab facility in Maine for less than three weeks.
