Britney Spears has taken to social media to share her personal skincare secrets, adopting an influencer-style approach in a recent Instagram video. The 44-year-old pop star, who has previously spoken out about negative cosmetic experiences, showcased her preferred products and techniques to her 41.7 million followers.
Spears demonstrated her routine, which included applying Clinique's Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, a product retailing at $47, and two items from the luxury brand Chanel. She was seen using a gold face roller across her cheeks, neck, and forehead. "I hate going to doctors… That bad Botox really messed my face up!!! I found my own gadgets now!!! Dr Spears!!! What if I was actually advanced lol," she wrote in the caption accompanying the video.
This comes days after Spears detailed a Botox mishap that affected her left eye for several weeks. In another Instagram reel, she explained that a doctor administered so much Botox that it caused her eye to droop. She described the experience as "embarrassing" and noted that her eye was only beginning to return to normal. Spears advised her followers to exercise caution when considering cosmetic injectables, stating, "Girls, you have to be so careful if you do Botox with these people and these doctors. They can really f*** your eyes up." She emphasized that the effects lasted for approximately four weeks and warned that practitioners "try to change your face and they can f*** things up."
Spears has previously expressed dissatisfaction with Botox treatments. In 2023, she announced she was "done with Botox," explaining that a prior procedure resulted in bruising and left her looking as though she had been "beat up," preventing her from being seen for two weeks.
Spears, who shares two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, was under a conservatorship for 13 years, which concluded in late 2021.
