Britney Spears was seen in Thousand Oaks, California, on Thursday, traveling in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes SUV driven by a chauffeur. This public appearance comes several months after the singer resolved a driving under the influence (DUI) case.

Spears, 44, was photographed wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and sunglasses, appearing in good spirits and smiling while interacting with the driver. The outing occurred after Spears accepted a plea deal in May for a reduced charge of reckless driving, stemming from her March arrest on suspicion of DUI. The resolution of the case included a 12-month probation period, a $571 fine, and an order to complete 30 hours of DUI education classes. Following her arrest, Spears also completed a three-week stay at a substance abuse rehabilitation facility.

The singer's recent public sighting occurs amidst ongoing fan concern, fueled by a series of recent social media posts. In one post, Spears claimed a thief had stolen half her wardrobe and cash, stating it prompted her to "rebel" online. She also shared posts discussing a "spiritual journey" and reflecting on her past, including a Father's Day post where she mentioned purchasing a guitar in Mexico with the hope of having another child.

Family Milestones

This period also marks a significant family milestone for Spears. Her sons, Jayden, 19, and Sean Preston, 20, recently made their runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. Jayden, in an interview published Thursday, described his mother as having been "so nervous" for them before their walk, emphasizing her support. He noted that Spears sent flowers and frequently communicated with them, assuring them they would succeed because they are her sons.

Sean Preston admitted that walking a runway had not previously been on his radar but decided to participate due to the involvement of the brand Vetements and the presence of "incredible people." Earlier this year, Sean Preston adopted his mother's surname on social media, changing his Instagram handle to "Sean P Spears" from his previous name, Sean Preston.

Both of Spears' sons relocated to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, in 2023. However, Federline later revealed in his memoir that Jayden had returned to Los Angeles. The renewed closeness within the family was reportedly instrumental following Spears' DUI arrest, with sources suggesting her sons played a key role in persuading her to seek treatment.
