Britney Spears recently shared a throwback bikini photo from a 2019 poolside shoot on Instagram, reflecting on her past experiences. The 44-year-old pop star posted an image of herself in a brown and white zebra-patterned swimsuit with knee-high white boots.

"Remember when I used to do pictures… was it worth what I went through to get this picture? Nope," Spears captioned the post. While not explicitly stated, the comment appeared to reference her 13-year conservatorship, which concluded in late 2021. Fans had accused Spears of not posting her own content during the conservatorship, during which her father, Jamie Spears, served as conservator.

During her legal battle for freedom from the conservatorship, Spears made accusations against her father. She told the court at the time, "My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship and my management who played a key role in punishing me, they should be in jail."

Since her conservatorship ended, Spears has frequently posted videos of herself dancing or on vacations. On Monday, she also shared a video clip of herself in a low-cut pale blue dress at a park with a small white dog. The comments sections for both posts were turned off.

Spears married backup dancer Kevin Federline in 2004, and they had two sons, Sean, now 20, and Jayden, now 19. Their marriage ended in 2007, and Federline was granted majority custody of their children in October of that year. In March of an unspecified year, Spears was arrested and later charged with a DUI. She pleaded guilty and received 12 months of probation, was ordered to enroll in a three-month alcohol and drug education program, and fined. She was also prohibited from consuming alcohol and drugs, with exceptions for prescription medication. Reports at the time indicated that her sons staged an intervention following the DUI incident, which led her to seek treatment in rehab.
