British Wrestler Benjamin Satterley, Known as Pac, Dies at 40

British professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known by his ring name Pac, has died at the age of 40, his representatives confirmed. All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where Satterley had been signed since 2019, announced his passing, stating they were "saddened to announce the passing" of the performer.

Satterley's death was confirmed just one day after he competed in AEW's "All Out" event held in Chicago on Saturday evening. The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed.

AEW noted that Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004. He went on to perform for various wrestling organizations globally, earning recognition for his high-flying maneuvers and in-ring skills. During his tenure with AEW, he held multiple championships and was part of what the organization described as "some of the most memorable matches in AEW history."

Before joining AEW, Satterley also competed in prominent wrestling promotions such as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico. He utilized several ring personas throughout his career, including Pac, Adrian Neville, and "The Man that Gravity Forgot," a moniker referencing his signature finishing move where he would perform a 360-degree spin from the top rope.

Numerous tributes have poured in from the wrestling community, with many expressing shock at his death. WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman called it a "truly terrible loss" and praised Satterley as a "tremendous talent and even finer human being." AEW President Tony Khan stated that Satterley "defined excellence" as a husband, friend, and in his wrestling knowledge, skill, and "unprecedented athleticism." Fellow British wrestler Will Ospreay shared his grief on X, formerly Twitter, describing Satterley as "the greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being."
