British musician and YouTuber Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is accused of raping a 20-year-old Australian woman in a Perth hotel room in September 2024. The 30-year-old has pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexually penetrating the woman without consent. He also denies impeding her breathing by applying pressure to her neck and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

During her opening remarks in the District Court of Western Australia on Monday, prosecutor Danielle Clarke alleged that Barrientos became violent while the pair were having consensual sex and did not stop when the woman withdrew consent and began to cry. The woman told the court that the encounter began after she met the musician in the VIP section following his performance at a Perth venue.

Clarke stated that the woman, a fan of Yung Filly, was invited to meet him and was given tequila shots. According to the prosecution, Barrientos later put his hands down her pants and told her she was coming home with him. She left the venue with the performer and his entourage around 3 a.m., assuming there would be an after-party.

Upon arriving at the Intercontinental Hotel, Barrientos led the woman to room 217. Her phone had been taken by one of his companions in a van and was not returned, despite her requests. The prosecutor described how the sexual encounter turned violent, with Barrientos allegedly biting the woman, slapping her, and grabbing her around the throat. The woman testified that she said, "You're hurting me," and that each time she spoke up, he hurt her more.

Prosecutors claim that it was at this point the woman feared for her safety and withdrew consent. The court heard that Barrientos allegedly ordered her to say, "I'm Filly's dirty whore," which she refused to do. The woman reported that one bite broke the skin on her right breast, requiring a tetanus shot. She also stated that it was hard to breathe when he placed his hand around her neck.

Barrientos allegedly raped the woman multiple times before ordering room service. As the woman prepared to leave the hotel room, one of Barrientos's minders entered. The prosecution alleges that Barrientos told the minder she wasn't "good in bed." After leaving the hotel, the woman used an ice pack on her face and received a tetanus shot for the bite wound. The trial is ongoing.
