British Airways Flight Diverts Due to Cracked Window
A British Airways flight bound for Portugal was forced to return to London Gatwick after pilots reported a cracked window.

A British Airways flight traveling from London Gatwick to Faro, Portugal, made an emergency U-turn and returned to London after pilots detected a cracked window.
The BA EuroFlyer service, which departed around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, encountered the issue approximately one hour into its journey over Brittany, France. Pilots issued a general emergency upon noticing what aviation news outlet AirLive described as "structural damage to a window panel on the right side of the aircraft."
AirNav Radar, an aircraft tracking service, first alerted the public to the situation via X (formerly Twitter), stating, "A passenger window is cracked. Flight deck going through checks before deciding where to divert."
Flight-tracking website Flightradar24 confirmed the aircraft was heading back to London. The specific cause of the window damage has not yet been officially confirmed. Further details are expected as the situation develops.
