Tiphaine Auzière, the 42-year-old daughter of France's First Lady Brigitte Macron, is reportedly in a serious relationship with 22-year-old surfing instructor and businessman Antoine Lecomte. The age difference of 20 years between them mirrors the age gap between Auzière's mother and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Lecomte, who is a kitesurfing instructor and founded a company manufacturing high-end kites, stated that his relationship with Auzière is not a summer fling. "It's love, it's serious. We have plans for the future," he told the Daily Mail. He also acknowledged the public interest due to the similarity with Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron's relationship, noting, "Age means nothing when you are in love."
The couple recently made their relationship public on Instagram, sharing a video compilation of a weekend trip to Amsterdam. Auzière, a lawyer and mother of two, separated from her former partner in January 2025. Lecomte, who is from Lille but lives in the seaside town of Le Touquet, stated he did not know who Auzière was when she first took efoil surfing lessons from him earlier this summer. He emphasized that discovering her connection to Brigitte Macron did not alter their relationship.
Lecomte is planning a business trip to Asia in the coming weeks, which Auzière will join. He stated, "She is a lawyer, and I have to develop my factory in Sri Lanka so she will help me, and we will go together. I'm hoping the business will get stronger."
The public relationship also draws parallels to Brigitte Macron's marriage to Emmanuel Macron. The French President met Brigitte Trogneux, then a 40-year-old married mother of three, when he was a 15-year-old student. They married in 2007, with Macron reportedly seeking permission from Brigitte's children. Tiphaine Auzière has previously spoken of her admiration for her mother and stepfather, describing their bond as one where "almost as if the world doesn’t exist."
Auzière has been a vocal supporter of both her mother and stepfather. She has campaigned for Macron and defended her mother against public criticism regarding her age and relationship with the President. Lecomte's parents are aware of the relationship and are reportedly happy, though they have not yet met Auzière. It is understood that Lecomte has met Auzière's daughters, Élise, 12, and Aurèle, ten, and a meeting with Brigitte Macron is rumored to be forthcoming.
