Brigitte Bardot's Widower Left Out of Will, Now Lives in Council Flat
Bernard d’Ormale claims the late actress's legacy is being tarnished by those who excluded him from her will.
Bernard d’Ormale, the widower of French actress and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot, is living in a council flat after being left out of her will. D'Ormale, who was married to Bardot for 33 years, stated that he feels ousted despite caring for her for many years. He plans to take legal action.
Bardot's relationship with d'Ormale was the longest of any of her marriages. Following her death, her assets were reportedly split equally between her son from a previous marriage, Nicolas-Jacques Charrier, and the Fondation Brigitte Bardot, her animal welfare charity.
D'Ormale has described the situation as a "pack of werewolves" tarnishing Bardot's legacy. Bardot, an icon of 1950s and 60s cinema, became a dedicated animal rights activist in her later years, pouring her energy into fighting for animal welfare.
