Bridget Fonda Shows Off Reported 100lb Weight Loss
The former actress, 62, was seen in Los Angeles exhibiting a noticeably thinner frame, sparking discussions about her transformation.
Bridget Fonda, 62, was recently observed in Los Angeles, showcasing a noticeably thinner physique that has drawn attention. The retired actress, who has reportedly undergone a 100-pound weight loss transformation, was seen on a casual outing earlier this week, wearing a simple black shirt, loose-fitting black trousers, an oversized white button-up shirt, and white sneakers. She carried a black tote bag.
Experts have weighed in on the potential methods behind Fonda's significant weight reduction. Dr. Wilks, a weight specialist in Southern California, suggested in February that Fonda may have lost as much as 100 pounds over the past year. He speculated that she might have used a GLP-1 medication, such as Zepbound or Ozempic, to aid in her rapid and consistent weight loss. Alternatively, he proposed that a natural approach would involve a significant reduction in sugar, carbohydrates, and dairy intake.
Functional nutritionist Monica Partier also indicated last October that a combination of GLP-1s and diet could have contributed to Fonda's weight loss, emphasizing the importance of metabolic balance, hormone levels, gut health, nutrient deficiencies, obesogens, and chronic stress.
Fonda, daughter of the late actor Peter Fonda and niece of Jane Fonda, began her acting career as a child. Her film debut was in the 1969 film Easy Rider at the age of five. She later took on roles in films such as Scandal (1989), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination, The Godfather Part III (1990), and the cult classic Single White Female (1992). Other notable films include It Could Happen To You (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), and Lake Placid (1999).
Fonda's acting career was impacted by a car accident in 2003, where she sustained a fractured vertebra. This incident led her to halt her acting career. In the same year, she married composer Danny Elfman, with whom she has a son, Oliver, now 21.
In 2023, Fonda stated her intention not to return to the entertainment industry, expressing a preference for being a "civilian." Despite her withdrawal from acting, she has continued to be seen in public, most recently appearing slimmer during various outings in Los Angeles.
