Bridgerton Star Nicola Coughlan Enjoys Cyprus Getaway with Boyfriend Jake Dunn

Nicola Coughlan, the 39-year-old star of "Bridgerton," recently shared photos from a romantic trip to Cyprus with her boyfriend, Jake Dunn, 26. The couple stayed at the five-star Anassa Resort, documenting their time with a series of snapshots.

Among the shared images, Coughlan is seen in a plunging swimsuit and later in a black off-the-shoulder dress for a dinner date. She also posted a shirtless picture of Dunn. "Spent a week at @anassa_resort and wow who knew 7 days of lying at a pool, reading books, eating delicious food and relaxing at a beautiful hotel was very good for your body and soul?" Coughlan captioned the collection of photos. "Not everyone is brave enough to say it but I’ll go there! In all sincerity though what a special time, very very grateful."

Coughlan also spoke about her relationship with social media, admitting that she frequently deletes apps from her phone due to their "really negative impact." She stated that she primarily uses Instagram for work-related promotions.

"I just download social media to post something and then delete it straight away as it can have a really negative impact," Coughlan told the BBC.

The couple made their relationship Instagram official in February 2025, with Coughlan posting a birthday tribute to Dunn. They were first introduced by Coughlan's "Derry Girls" co-star and friend, Louisa Harland. After months of keeping their relationship private, Coughlan and Dunn confirmed their romance in October 2024.

Friends of the couple described them as "absolutely besotted with each other and have so much fun together." They noted that despite busy schedules, the pair have integrated easily into each other's lives, sharing a large circle of mutual friends.

Dunn, a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, has also appeared in projects alongside Harland and Dylan Llewellyn, Coughlan's "Derry Girls" co-stars. Like Coughlan, Dunn has experience in period dramas, having starred in Disney's "Renegade Nell" with Harland.

The friends added that Coughlan, Llewellyn, and Harland have maintained their close bond since "Derry Girls" concluded, consistently supporting each other's careers, which made Coughlan's meeting with Dunn a natural progression. Dunn also appeared in the Channel 4 series "Big Boys" opposite Llewellyn, a show written by Jack Rooke, a close friend of Coughlan's. The group of friends are known to support each other's endeavors and are often seen together in North West London.
