Bridal White Dominates Dally M Awards Red Carpet
Wives and girlfriends of NRL players opt for wedding-inspired gowns at the 2026 Dally M Awards.
The 2026 Dally M Awards, the National Rugby League's premier annual event, saw an unexpected fashion trend emerge on the red carpet: bridal white. A significant number of partners, known as WAGs (wives and girlfriends), chose gowns in shades of white, evoking the aesthetic of wedding dresses.
Among those embracing the bridal theme was Ashleigh Camenzuli, wife of Penrith Panthers player Isaah Yeo. Camenzuli wore a lace dress featuring a corseted bodice, a long skirt with a thigh-high split, and opera-length fingerless gloves, reminiscent of her own wedding attire from the previous year.
Jessica Sergis, an NRLW player for the Sydney Roosters who is engaged to player Tommy Talau, also opted for a white gown. Her outfit featured a satin and lace corset bodice with a sheer lace skirt and a dramatic train, styled with matching white heels.
Swimwear entrepreneur Mimi Bowell, the new girlfriend of NRL star Kalyn Ponga, made her red carpet debut in a white, strapless, figure-hugging gown with a dramatic train, further cementing the bridal trend.
Other attendees who adopted the white theme included Courtney Blaine, partner of Damien Cook of the St George Illawarra Dragons. Blaine wore a sheer nude frock with feather trim and embroidery, and a corseted bodice.
Millie Elliott, a Sydney Roosters women's player, was seen in a bridal-style satin and lace dress with a corseted bodice and a layered skirt.
Today show weather presenter Taylor Haynes also joined the trend, wearing an elegant, draped white satin gown with an asymmetrical one-shoulder design.
The event, held at The Cutaway in Sydney's Barangaroo, saw numerous attendees in gold, but the prevalence of white dresses created a distinct visual theme for the evening.
