Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has publicly questioned the sincerity of Bunnie Xo's statements about her impending divorce from country music star Jelly Roll. On a recent episode of her podcast, “Plan Bri Uncut,” LaPaglia asserted that Bunnie Xo is not entirely detached from the situation and may still be protecting her estranged husband.
LaPaglia’s comments came after Bunnie Xo discussed her breakup and pending divorce on her own podcast, mentioning that she encouraged Jelly Roll to date again and that his direct messages are open. LaPaglia dismissed these remarks, stating, “She doesn’t mean that. She’s still under the mind control of [Jelly Roll].” LaPaglia further suggested that Bunnie Xo's close friends reposting “asinine, crazy, insulting videos about Jelly Roll” indicates that Bunnie Xo is not fully over the relationship.
“She just still wants to protect him,” LaPaglia said. “She’s going to step out of this a year from now and be like, ‘Holy f–king s–t, Jelly Belly f–king lost weight, and the second he drops weight, take it for what it actually is.'”
LaPaglia also speculated on the reasons behind the split, suggesting that Jelly Roll’s significant 200-pound weight loss may have altered his ego and personality. She posited that he now believes he can find a partner he deems more suitable, such as a “trad wife,” and that his newfound religious beliefs might be a factor, potentially causing him to distance himself from Bunnie Xo’s past as a former sex worker. LaPaglia directly challenged this narrative, reminding listeners of Jelly Roll's own past struggles with drug addiction and incarceration.
“He thought that he can do better. He can date someone younger. He’s going to go for a ‘trad wife,'” LaPaglia stated. “Hey buddy, you were the one that got with an escort. She was an escort. She’s talked about it. You were a drug addict and you were going to prison and in and out of jail. Now your morals don’t align with it because you’re f–king skinny?”
LaPaglia concluded her remarks by suggesting that Bunnie Xo was a “redeeming and beautiful quality” of Jelly Roll, implying that losing her was a consequence of his weight loss and perceived ego change.
Jelly Roll quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo on May 18, after nearly 10 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple agreed to divide their assets and debts. Representatives for Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
