New York Giants pass-rusher Brian Burns is active for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, despite an ankle injury that kept him from practicing throughout the week. Burns, an All-Pro selection, worked with trainers on the sideline during Friday's practice.
Burns has a history of playing through injuries and has not missed a game since joining the Giants in 2024 on a five-year, $141 million contract. His availability is a significant boost for a Giants pass rush that ranks near the bottom of the NFL in pressures and sacks. The team has recorded seven pressures and one sack, with Burns aiming for his first sack of the season after totaling 16.5 last year.
However, the Giants' secondary faces challenges with key players sidelined. Cornerback Deonte Banks and safety Tyler Nubin are both out with calf injuries. Banks had expressed confidence earlier in the week about his availability.
Other Giants inactives for the game include running back Devin Singletary, offensive tackle JC Davis, tight end Thomas Fidone, and defensive tackle Bobby Jamison-Travis. Singletary's absence is somewhat surprising given his Week 1 performance, but the team is expected to rely on running backs Cam Skattebo and Najee Harris, with Tyrone Tracy Jr. providing value on special teams.
