Actor Brian Austin Green, 53, has openly discussed his perception of a declining sex drive as men age, attributing the change to natural hormonal shifts.

In a recent episode of the iHeartRadio podcast “I Do, Part 2,” Green stated that a decrease in testosterone is a significant factor in this aging process. "Sure, absolutely, of course," he responded when asked about noticing a lower sex drive. "That is a chemical thing. That is testosterone. That is what men, as they age, start naturally losing."

He acknowledged that while supplements exist, the natural decline is inevitable. "To me, honestly, absolutely. Sex drive lowers. There’s no way to avoid that. I didn’t ask for it," Green said.

Green also shared that his perspective on sex has evolved, emphasizing connection over purely physical aspects. "It’s not just the physical act the same way," he explained. "It’s the connection."

Despite the perceived decrease in drive, Green noted that intimacy has improved with age, particularly in his relationship with fiancée Sharna Burgess. He explained that he is now less focused on his own insecurities and more attentive to his partner's experience. "I am way less concerned with how I feel in it and my own insecurities and I’m way more concerned about how she feels and that I’m doing things that she truly likes," he said.

Looking back at his previous marriage to Megan Fox, Green admitted that physical attraction was the primary driver in their relationship. "My ex and I were together for almost 15 years," he shared. "We were married for almost 10 years. I led with physical attraction." He described his past approach as gravitating toward physical attraction first and then building a relationship around it.

Following his divorce from Fox, Green expressed a desire for a different approach, prioritizing genuine connection and friendship before romantic involvement. "I think when you started from a place of a genuine connection with someone, then you’re not so concerned about whether they are truly into you or not," he reflected.

Green and Burgess, who have been engaged since July 2023, welcomed their son Zane in June 2022. Green also has a son, Kassius, from a previous relationship, and three children with Fox: Noah, Bodhi, and Journey.
